What We Do

Worship

Our main worship time is on Sundays at 11 a.m.  During this time, we aim to glorify God by praying, singing his praises, giving back our monetary offerings to him, and listening to God’s Word preached.  The focus of our worship is always God.  We aim to be true to Him and His Word in our singing and our sermons.

We realize that the Bible does not prescribe any particular genre of music, so we sing both classical hymns and contemporary worship songs.  We strive to sing words that are biblically based, theologically accurate, and relevant to our unchanging God and the sermon.  The sermon comes directly from the Bible.  Currently, Pastor Ryan is preaching through the gospel of Matthew.  We encourage you to listen to a sermon online.

Sunday School

At 9:45 a.m. on Sundays, we offer Bible study for all ages, from infants and toddlers to adults.  Our Sunday School is a time of fellowship, prayer, and Bible study.  We are currently studying 1 and 2 Kings.

Sunday Evenings

Depending on the season, our Sunday evenings may look different.  We are currently meeting for a time of worship and prayer.  For more information on our Sunday night services, please view our schedule.

Men’s Ministry

Some of the men at Pinehurst have been involved in a study called Men’s Fraternity, developed by Robert Lewis at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Men’s Fraternity is a three-year study. We are currently in the third year of this program.  For more information, please see our schedule.

Women’s Ministry

From time to time, some of the women of our church meet for a Bible study or a book study.  Some of our women recently read Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss.  Keep an eye on the schedule for future women’s ministry activities.

Devotion Groups

Christians do not live life alone.  We live life together, in community, as the body of Christ.  One way to encourage true fellowship is to meet together in smaller groups.  We call these groups devotion groups, after Acts 2:42: “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”  For current information, visit our devotion group page.

Missions

We support the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by supporting the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, the Northwest Baptist Convention, and the the Puget Sound Baptist Association.  We also support local missions and help local needs by supporting the Pregnancy Resource Center, the Everett Gospel Mission, and Connect Church in Lynnwood.
